We are ecstatic to let everyone know about the inaugural, non-competitive, PDCA Stud Dog Showcase to be held at the 2022 National Specialty in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This new event will provide members the opportunity to show off their own stud dog to others in a relaxed and non-competitive setting.
Do you ever miss seeing the dogs you may want to consider for breeding at a National because the show goes by quickly and you cannot always watch? As an owner, do you ever feel others did not have the chance to see them? We are so busy during the competitions that we often miss the chance to notice (as we would like) with the many handsome dogs that come to the National.
This will be a social event too. The Cheyenne Wyoming Visitors Association is helping to fund appetizers for the event. We hope to have a full open bar and beverages.
All dogs of entry age are welcome to enter, not just champions. The format will include standard trip around the ring, along with a down and back. An announcer will present a brief summary about each dog, provided by the owner.
Once outside the ring, the dogs will be available for the spectators to examine on the table or ground, feel them as allowed by the owner, and talk about their qualities and what they are producing.
Let’s get the sign-ups started and make this inaugural showcase a great one!
The entry fee is $12 per dog when mailed, and $12.94 per dog when paying via PayPal.
